IMPLANT INSTALLATION
IMPLANT INSTALLATION
A dental implant is an artificial root installed in place of a lost tooth.
Implantation allows to:
- Restore the shape and function of a lost tooth;
- not worn off adjacent teeth, as in the manufacture of bridge structures (dentures);
- restore the aesthetics of the appearance of a lost tooth;
- the only way to avoid removable prosthetics (full, clasp, partial dentures).
In my practice, I use the digital and the most accurate method of implant placement. Before the operation, we scan the future implant placement area, compare digital prints with 3D tomography data using a specific program, and virtually select the optimal location and position of the future implant.
Then we make the prototype, print it on a 3D printer, and prepare for the operation (autoclaved). The prototype has special guide bushings that allow eliminating the doctor’s error, speeding up the surgery duration, and minimizing unpleasant sensations and tissue injuries in the implant area.
