What is an implant?
An implant is a screw made of titanium oxide and implanted in the jaw directly into the bone.
After the first surgical stage, the implant gets screwed into the bone while tightly sewing the gums. After that, you need to wait for 2-3 months for the implant to take root. It is a crucial period.
Then comes the second stage — prosthetics themselves. It is when an implant is opened and repaired with prosthetics.
There are also two types of prosthetics
- The first type includes prosthetics when an individual abutment is made and then covered with a crown. This option is not optimal in case of complications of gum inflammation around the implant. Because to remove such a crown, it must be removed, and often it is impossible to save it. It leads to the necessity of completely redoing everything.
- The second optionis universal and optimal. It’s when the crown is screwed to the implant platform with a special screw. It allows unscrewing it at any time and installing it back without breaking the structure of the implant.
